How We Started

Kingsword International Church began with a vision, a handful of believers, and an unshakeable conviction that God was about to do something extraordinary in London. What started as a small prayer and Bible study gathering in a living room quickly grew into a vibrant, Spirit-filled community with a heart for the nations.

Under the leadership of Pastors Emmy and Kemi Akinlaja, KingsWord grew from those humble beginnings into a church that has now touched thousands of lives across London, Europe, and beyond. Every step of the journey has been marked by an unwavering commitment to the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and authentic community.

Today, KingsWord International Church continues to grow — planting seeds in every season, raising leaders, reaching the lost, and building a people prepared for the fullness of what God has prepared. Our history is not behind us; it is the foundation on which our greatest days are being built.
